Our Applejack puppet was re-purposed by Aaron Lavarnway- the puppet re-purposing master!
After Zach Rich build the initial pony puppet for Twilight Sparkle, Aaron Lavarnway repurposed it to create our Fluttershy puppet!
To make the the puppets for Double Rainboom, Zach first studied the way the ponies moved in the show. He had to look for clues whenever a puppet broke during animation and was eventually able to understand their construction (the legs and hair are the most complex parts). We then gathered screenshots of all the different parts of the puppet and traced each individual shape with the line tool in Flash. They were then re-sized, organized, and nested into the puppet rig of Twilight Sparkle on the website.
Our Rainbow Dash puppet is scheduled for release this coming Monday along with some backgrounds, concept work, a new poster, and an updated Twilight Sparkle puppet. Included in the Raindow Dash puppet will be wing and hair cycles. You are welcome to recolor them and change the puppets in any way you would like. Credit isn’t necessary, but appreciated /)^ɛ^(\
